    Empire Interactive are giving futuristic bloodsport sequel Speedball 2100 a sound to match its bone-jarring gameplay. British kings of dance Leftfield are lending their track, 6/8 War, to the PlayStation game.

    Taking a leaf out of the Wipeout book of tunes, Empire Interactive U.K. has licensed a track from U.K. dance outfit Leftfield for inclusion in Speedball 2100.

    Developed by The Bitmap Brothers, Speedball 2100 is a modern update of the original classic. The track is called 6/8 War, and can be found on the band's latest album, Rhythm & Stealth.

Console Domain: Leftfield sounds off for Speedball 2100

    Empire Interactive today announced that it has licensed the track "6/8 War" from Leftfield`s album Rhythm & stealth to feature in Speedball 2100. Developed by legendary game developers The Bitmap Brothers, Speedball 2100 is a modern update of the original brutal future-sport. In 6/8 War, Empire Interactive believes it has found just the right bass-tech back-beat to complement the game's 22nd Century sporting mayhem. How else do you convey a feeling of edge-of-the-seat excitement and an adrenaline-rush so strong it almost has the fizz to make you explode?

    After an agonizing wait, an early copy of Speedball 2100 has finally arrived, and in short, it's good. The version has most of the options that'll appear in the finished product, and a quick glance indicates that the game's heavily influenced by the classic Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe.
