Speedball 2™ Anarchistic Future Sport Smashes its way onto Pocket PC

Infinite Ventures releases next in series of exciting new Pocket PC games on www.portable-games.com

Purcellville, VA, July 30, 2002 – Stepping onto the pitch in the twenty-second century, Infinite Ventures, publisher of award-winning PDA games, today announced the release of Speedball 2, a fast-action, futuristic sports game for Microsoft Pocket PC compatible devices. Speedball 2 was converted to the Pocket PC by developer Broadsword Interactive and licensed exclusively from the original authors, The Bitmap Brothers Ltd.

“We’re thrilled to bring this acclaimed futuristic sports game to our growing line-up of exciting and award-winning Pocket PC games,” said Eugene Evans, Infinite Ventures President. “Speedball 2 rounds out our line which includes adventure, strategy, and puzzle games. But, this is no leisurely ball game. Pocket PC owners will face the challenge in a stylized metallic arena packed with a crowd, fueled by aggressive action.”

Designed by the renowned Bitmap Brothers development house, Speedball 2 was originally released in 1990 on the Commodore Amiga. It went on to find fans and win awards on many platforms. This conversion by Broadsword Interactive harnesses the full graphics and audio power of the Pocket PC to bring players the same compelling action.

“Pocket PC users have finally got what they have been asking for with this stunning remake of one of our most popular titles,” said Ed Bartlett, Business Development Director at The Bitmap Brothers. “Broadsword has done a fantastic job of the conversion, and both fans and newcomers to the series will be over the moon with the results. Hopefully this will help to open the floodgates for quality software on this exciting and growing PDA platform.”

Infinite Ventures is currently planning the Mobile Entertainment & Gaming Expo (MEG Expo) in conjunction with MultiMeteor Inc. It will take place in Hollywood, California October 21st-24th, 2002. During the expo Eugene Evans will moderate the “Future of Mobile Gaming” panel. For more information visit www.megexpo.com.
